tomarrow is 1/4 mile time.
what should i do to make it quicker?

lower rear tire pressure?
dump the clutch at 2500 rpms and stab the throttle right?

anything else?

Each track is different just be aware our clutches don't take too well to excessive slipping. But your "Captain Fun Bucks" so no worries. Have fun!

Rear tires at about 23 lbs.

Do not hot lap, unless you have the IAT mod. Once your engine gets hot it will heat soak and you must let it cool. If not the pcm will pull timing to inhibit detonation, and you will just go slower and slower and slower.

Do not slip the clutch, feather the throttle, dump the clutch at about 3000 and feather the throttle.

No sense in hitting the rev limiter, the peak power is achieved shortly after 5200 in most engines...use a shift light...be prepared to shift to second very quickly, same for third...it will stretch its legs in third and you will need to hit fourth before you finish the quarter.

But of course I don't race so don't listen to me.

Take an approved helmet...not a motorcycle helmet!

Invest in a drive shaft loop, roll your windows up...relax...

on a 1/4 mile run?

Hot lapping is making a run and getting back in line to run again...without letting the engine cool for 30 minutes or so...even better if you can ice the intake between runs.

Focus on good 60 foot times...that is where the gain and loss is really crucial. The truck will do the work after the initial 60 feet.

That's good I'm heading to craig colorado for a job.

I think I have a fix for the missed third shift.

Now if I could get a job that would be great too. How long you gonna be gone for?
