Hey guys. I have talked to Justin on 2 different ways to go about getting better traction and eliminating wheel hop. Thanks Justin for the help, time, and PM's.

I am going to do one of the next two options.
Either get a set of caltracs
or
get justins stage 2 traction.
Which would you guys do?

I am leaning towards justin but just want to hear what you guys think. Thanks

I have Justins stage one. It didnt really do much that I can tell except eliminate a nasty noise coming from the leafs. Is stage two that middle shock and insert piece for the slapper bar(leaf)?

I have Caltracs that hopefully I will install on Sunday.

Seems the setup of choice with no budget is Caltracs and Justins Qa1 shocks.

Patrick how long have you had those Cal-Tracs?:D

I have been dying to hear how they do for you:burnout:

justins setup is relly good and he has the best 60 ft times on the board so his system speeks for itself....................thats all for now, dom

I run cal-tracs.......really like them. If JMB's get's rid of the noise...that might be a better option. I do have plenty of traction with the Cal-trac's even when I'm spraying.......by plenty I mean it does hook up after very little smoke from the rear tires.

Sorry to sound like a broken record but what do you ultimately want your truck to do?

The Caltracs will eliminate wheel hop and help you to hook up...

I have no idea what other mods you currently have or intend to add. But those things are important...if you intend to go with power adders I doubt that you will be satisfied with either of the options you have mentioned. You have not given us much to go on...is yours a RC or QC? What do you want to accomplish long term? If your engine is going to stay stock and you want to eliminate wheel hop that is one thing, if you are going on from stock, then we need to know what you intend to do and where you want to end up.

I have used the brackets that Justin sells and did not see much difference. I have Caltracs and the stinker rear end...and those together make a huge difference in hooking up. But there are some down-sides too...

as always the end goal is very critical.....but who actually knows there end goal.it is so tough but a very good point prof and well written......thats all for now.................dom

Begin with a goal in mind...be prepared to alter the plan...because we always do...but a plan is mandatory. I have seen so many put on CAI and then decide to go with forced induction and have to ditch their CAI...

Once you have a goal in mind...you can avoid mis-steps and expense that is not necessary.

One thing for sure...if you are consulting with Justin you are getting good input from a man who knows...

Ok great points prof. To help the sitaution, I have a 06 R/C. My plans are to drive it for a year, and put in justins turbo package in winter at the end of 2008. I want to drive it for most of 2008 before i do any big mods. But for right now i am having a huge amount of trouble with this wheel hop. I want to get rid of it with either the stage 2 (might go this route so i can get a stage 3 later), or the caltracs.
