well, this guy has been wanting to run me for a while, so we went at it from a 10 mph roll. by third I was up 1 truck . they are pretty quick, but that one was not quick enough and I know he at least had exhaust because that thing was screaming

and I forgot to turn my a/c off,,,,,, How much hp does the a/c take away?

Sooooo...did you WIN!?!?:D:D:D

Through first and second we were sid by side but when I hit third I just started walking away and at the top of third I let off and had about 1/2 to 3/4 truck on him

yes I am calling it a win

NO dont tow with my truck. Why should I have walked him more? That would be great if he was modded and I still beat him, I know it was a 2 wheel drive model, He said he had a few small mods. But I thought he just meant exhaust and tune.

it did suprise me because I did not spin at all , I did bark them in third

Phwew! I was hoping we're faster than them bad boys. I like them things though....I still wanna go up against a Jeep SRT-8....I seen one on base today and he made sure I saw him.:D :bebored:

come to think of it , I know he had more than he was saying,,, because if I am not mistaken it is the same engine that is in my wifes vette. And When I race my wifes vette , I usually pull on her through 1st and 2nd. and the vette weighs alot less than that SS.

So that put a smile on my face knowing that my almost stock truck beat a modded SS

You will be fine as long as there stock and you have a 1/4 to catch back up to them, I normaly pass them around 100 or so...

Under wide open throttle the PCM cuts off the a/c automatically. The thing is with the condensor being in front of the radiator it tends to keep the engine warmer than without it on. These things are night and day difference between engine temps of 170 vs 200.

my temp stays at 180, no matter what I am doing , the t-stat and pcm upgrade makes my truck run cool all the time

Well I have the Stage II PCM but mine stays on 200 in traffic.

do you have the t-stat too? I have heard alot of people say on here that there truck still reaches 200 in traffic. Mine dont even when its 110 and I am bumber to bumber..

its wierd how the trucks are different

Yea I have the 170 t-stat. I am wondering if they missed the cooling fan reprogram option when they did mine. I have had mine for a while. I am in Mississippi so it is hot. It has been over 95 here for 24 days straight with 12 of those being over 100.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing.I think it has something to do with what type of pcm upgrade you have.I got mine from boomer and she runs 200 all day long.170 t-stat is installed.I have heard dc's pcm turns the fan on sooner.Talked to boom about maybe doing an upgrade and he said that he does not do that.rec.that I install one of his fan kits.:dontknow: It is funny on what you hear from diff guys in diff parts of the country.:dontknow: I stopped thinking about it and just run it.:bebored:

I would send it to DC and have them do it for it kicks the fan on sonner....its worth it

I have the DC stage II blowerflash, T-stat, and I run water wetter and ive never hit above 170 even in traffic.
