I have noticed lately that when I go to 3/4 throttle from 1st to 2nd (I get a nice chirp), if I stay at 3/4 throttle the shift is firm but then it either lets go or downshifts to 1st(meaning rpm's shoot up). I think it is slipping because I don't get a pull like a downshift, then again I am backing off the gas. any other driving it is fine 1/4, 1/2 and full throttle are OK. Just seems weird, any one else with this issue, never had a car with auto do this. :dontknow:
any advice? Thanks

Mine acts funny sometimes too.

I have been told that some of it is because of the torque converter trying to keep up, and some because of the shift-point change in the flash upgrade.

Had the tranny serviced at 4K miles, now im at 7500 miles. Kick down band cable is about 85% pulled out.

Told em to adjust the bands...it was in Avondale so I asume they would for me. I like the neck snapping shift...and I could care less that you were in Lakeland Fl:D lol

LOLOL u a nutt:D

Then it may be starting to go on ya bud, when the cable is that tight it puts a ton of line pressure in the tranny and can damage the pump:dontknow:

buy aftermaket bands....they are realively cheap....it is also summer and the trans runs hot...a larger pan that holds 3-5 more qrts really helps

What about warranty with switching to a larger pan...Patrick has pull at Avondale so I think I would be OK.:dontknow:

Band adjustment rec.@ 15k.May not have needed it when you had it seviced.
Mine seems to work fine. These trannies seem to be hit or miss.Mine really shifted firmer after 15k service.Good luck!

thats wiers i adjusted mine at 15k and it shifts hard, gonna re agjust them next week and change fluid and filter before i head to ohio. got to change the rear diff. fluid too.

When the tranny is "slipping," what's the feel or sound it makes? I want to be on the lookout as I'm nearing my 15k service date
