Tranny on QC ?

likes..dislikes..or problems w the transgo shift kit..

can anyone tell me theyre likes and dislikes or problems the transgo shift kit has caused on a qc auto tranny..thanks..:dontknow:

Ok i will call dusty, but i hate to spend more on more parts, i just want some good hard shifting, i do not drive my truck hard all the time just once in awhile i like to goose it or while getting on the highway from service road punch it, but mostly just drive it normal.. :D

Quick story Scott.

My transmission let go in my red qc. I called dusty after reading about him on the net and looking at his parts online. I wanted to buy 600ish $ in parts. He spent/wasted 30-45 min on the phone with me. He said that yes all the parts I wanted would be great but all I needed were 2 parts.

I thought, great the 2 most expensive parts...... no they were 35-45 bucks. I got the parts and had my dealer install them during the overhaul.

It was great, shifted like never before. I beat the living snot out of that tranny before my wife killed my beloved......................... RIP. MOMENT OF SILENCE

So he had a chance to make some money, but he would only sell the parts I needed. not to mention the time. If you do a search you will see where he has come on here and given away his findings/trade secrets. Give him a call and buy his parts.

-Installing a shift kit does nothing to address the port communication problem in the hyd circuits. There are many other things he does for shift timing and firmness. It's a metal to metal fit and aftermarket vlv bodies are hand lapped to eliminate the communication problems.
