I've got almost 45,000 miles on my QC with no transmission problems (other than an inherently weak governor pressure solenoid). I get the fluid and filter changed, bands adjusted, and governor pressure solenoid changed routinely (had it done at 16,566 miles, 26,061 miles, and 41,223 miles). My transmission guy said the torque converter was the weak link in our transmissions and I'd need to upgrade if I added significant power. After getting the Roe S/C I had him install a 3 disc billet torque converter. One thing he told me first time to his shop is that Dodge transmissions don't circulate the fluid idling in park. With heat being the enmy, I don't sit long idling in park. I run the crap out of my truck/race anyone that seems interested, and have probably 40 passes on it at the track, some with drag radials. I towed a trailer from Orange, Texas to Palm Beach, Florida week before last. My transmission may go out tomorrow but best I can tell, routine service, an upgraded torque converter, and managing heat works pretty well for them. Oh yeah, I also added the TransGo shift kit at 16,566 miles.
Best to all,
oldguy
