Alright, after searching for a little while I decided to make a post anyway :p My trans has a transgo shift kit already and the fluid looks fantastic and not burnt or anything so there is a start :) My issue is that today my tranny doesnt know what gear it wants from 1-2. If I drive easy it wants to skip from 1-2-1-2, but if i manually shift it or give it some gas it will shift hard and perfect, no issues there at all. I dont believe my bands are out of adjustment, it feels more like a cable issue. Anyone have any ideas? I just got a tune from Roe Racing two days ago and it just started having some issues today. I dont think the tune did anything, but you never know.

More than likely your solenoid needs replaced. A lot of guys go back with a GM unit.

Try the TV cable first and if that does not work. It is the gov pressure solenoid or pressure sensor. See below link. Top two items in list.

A618 48RE transmission solenoids, TransmissionpartsUSA.com

Just so you are aware if they are clogged up that is usually caused by clutch material which could be simply out of adjustment bands or you have a valve body that is not that great and is not providing proper pressure or shifts.

Do some searching on valve bodies and you see what I am referring to.

Your bang on!! I would have a tranny flush/service and have the bands set and get the GM solenoids put in!!
What happens is the material off the bands from wear and tear go through the tranny and plug off the OEM solenoids and they plug up and stop working properly, the GM solenoids are bigger and work excellent, I have them in mine and this is a very common problem seen with this tranny!!
