You guys were right.

I am fairly certain a new tranny is in my NEAR future. There is no way I can take my truck off line for a month. Joe at Westminister Trans thought it would take a week to freight it to him, 2 weeks to build, and week to get it home.

Does anyone have a line on a built tranny? An affordable core?

What kind of stall speed do I want? With the torque curve I have, I am not thinking a high stall speed is needed. Am I looking at the right things?

Any and all help is appreciated.

2400-2800 stall if you still want to drive it on the street.

well then you have to find a builder near you....time to hit yahoo.....while out are looking you may still want to get a converter from Joe....

So what's it been.2 months since the ROE went on.? I guess the rest of us know now, supercharger = new tranny!!!! How's that baby working out?

1 week. The tranny is not gone yet, but I fear that I am seeing torque converter problems. 2nd gear is still doing fine. As a side note, I have been hard on it this last week.

Drive it like you stole it!

And in response to a post above...

There has never been a doubt...boost a qc, and you must beef up your transmission...

Boost your rc and you must beef up your differential...

Really pretty intuitive if you think about it...

And, following up on a recent post by NBT and a post months ago from FstJack...

Boost or no boost, if you drag race on the strip or street...you must add a drive shaft loop...not intuitive, just common sense.

WOW. Just 1 week! Listening to all the posts convinced me to mod my RC rather than start screwing around with the BN QC.

The loop is a definite.
Sort of like seatbelt for the driveshaft.
But the rear axle? Is it as vulnerable as the Trans?

A few guys in RCs with slicks have had a few spider issues.

For the driveshaft loops and QCs, take a look underneath your truck.;)

Hard not to be with that bad ass roe under the hood!!!!  :burnout:

Drive shaft loop is one of most important and least expensive safety features you can put on your truck.

Go to www.moesperformance.com

Imagine the front u-joint breaking at 90 mph...

You in effect jam the drive shaft into the asphalt and tear the truck in half...you will probably not survive unless you have had a cage built around you. If you race your truck in NHRA events, you have to have one.

no you don't need one as you are a QC and you don't have slicks....The QC is a 2 piece drive shaft out of a diesel with a center bearing....

on street tires you couldn't break that driveshaft if your life depended on it...that thing is 100+ lbs of diesel withstanding steel.....
