Hey guys,

First post here-I'm lookin at buyin an 05 quad cab out of Jersey. The truck has 125 miles on it, but i did some lookin around and found out it already had the tire balance issue worked on and the transmission rebuilt. Is that something that once it's fixed is fixed, or is this truck going to be prone to blowing up transmissions? Any input would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

tire balance issuess are normal.

depends on the miles on the tranny, but some have had issues, guess it depends on the price they are asking.

A good used QC can be had in the mid 30's with decent miles, so it may pay to look some more

Truck has 125 miles on it-never been titled or registered, and they're sellin it for 34,500. With nav and sunroof, the two options i want, seems like a good price compared to what I've seen on autotrader.

i would be weary as to why the transmission has been worked on already. either that motor has seen some NOS or it was highly abused. the trannies are solid at stock HP levels, and with less than 200 miles in it it should not have needed any tranny work.

Just called them back, they said it was a transmission service. Does dodge refer to transmission services as rebuilds?

i just read the ad on ebay...a used trade-in, not new... i say, if you are having any doubts, let it pass...theres always another truck...NAV and a sunroof arent rare so you should be able to find one...

why would it need anything with that low a mile age?:dontknow:

At 125 miles that thing shouldn't need any work. I would pass and keep searching. Welcome to the site.
