Transmission Fluid

Just curious if there would be a way to clean out the gunky fluid put in by DC before installing the new ATF. Seems that if it's really thick your gonna have alot of residual left in the tranny!!

only a couple ways, 1 way it to take the tranny down to a tranny shop, they will open it up and clean it out...or the easy way is to just drain the fluid as long as you can, then after a few Mobil 1 ATF oil changes, it will clean itself....

So, just outta curiousity, since we kinda settled the issue of what to use in the tranny, is there a gear oil for the rearend that is better than what comes with the truck?..I know some have changed gears, and stuff. did you use any special oil when reassembling? Sorry bout being off topic, but I am planning to do the trans oil change, and figured since I was under there....

From what I have heard, the rear-end gear oil is fine, just use the mopar suff w/ the friction modifier; unless someone has looked further into the diff fluids.
