truck door won't open Help please

Hello all new member here.

I have a question I have a 2004 srt and my drivers side door will not open using the key or remote pad, can only be open from inside of truck and door handle inside feels tight when you release it.

Has anybody had this problem before. I took door panel off and looked inside tonight and all rod's are connected still, any help would be great. thanks

somebody could have jimmied the lock trying to break in, take it by a body shop let them look at it

yup its the power door lock regulator went bad had the same problem, about $70 part replaced it myself took about an hour, damn thing locked my keys in the truck while running

So this is just a little part that plugs in behind the door, I seen a wire running into where door striker was but didn't know what it went to.

I thought maybe it was a broken spring maybe or something along them lines but felt no damage or door rods off track.

Also is this a dealer only part or will part's store carry this. but thanks so far.

I believe its a dealer only part, the electric actuator gets frozen, on the inside , not something you can rebuild

yep i had the same prob on my 05 srt10 - dealer replaced it i think it was like 75-80$

The part number is 55372843AA like RB04 said and the list price is $95.35

It does sound like the latch assembly as the door lock actuator is integrated in to it.

Ok guys thanks alot, I went to the dealer today and he said what you are saying.

The latch inside has some eletronic switch and went bad. Special order part at 105.25. Guess I will have to order it in. thanks again for all the help
