You gonna do it yourself or pay somebody Rokt? Thats a lot of floor to prep!

Gonna look cool though. Are you turning your basement into the 6 car garage? Live on a hill do ya?

patrick
No.... pay brother. That is a big job.....2200 SF.:2in1: I live on a hill that slopes down into my woods so a detached garage is a no go.I can`t go to the side big enough or back.Under it is!I have always wanted the dream car garages I see on TV.

Thats cool. Got room to do a lift? That would be the dream complete.

Mauilife, Robert has a lift installed in his warehouse now. Oil changes are gonna be simple now.

Having you started the construction already? Gotta dig before it freezes huh? LOL

patrick

No room for a lift.I wouldn`t know what to do with one anywhoo. My guy is booked up until OCT 1.It will only take 3 weeks tops with his crew. The driveway arounn back will be the biggest thing and cutting the 9FT garage door into the foundation.

Looks great Patrick!! I would have a hard time driving on it after all that work!!:p

Now you need to put a big SRT-10 logo right in the middle!!

I will hardly see it after I load in the bikes, surfboards, beach chairs, boxes etc....then shoehorn the truck in!!! LOL

I giant srt/10 would look great. I wish I had the art skills to do one.

Mmmtorque, Race deck is cool but like you said pricey, so for less than $75 for the kit and supplies, I think this option is awesome.

Looks great Patrick..
At the plant I work at we use muriatic acid to etch the floor, and then a 2 part epoxy paint. We used the acid, spreading it with a string mop, and then power wash it to get any stubborn stuff off. Then let it dry for 24 hrs, and paint. The floor is like 80 grit sand paper when dry. This is needed for the paint to get a good bond. In 12 hrs or so, you can walk on it. In 36 hrs, you can drive on it. So far we have done about 16000 sq ft. this way.

I actually had bought the muriatic acid but left the bottle in my truck..... which is in the shop! I didnt want to drive an hour each way to the other side of the island to get another, so phock it, I just used the stuff in the kit and scrubbed like a sumbitch.

Damn Doood - That does look nice!

Is that kit supposed to cover a single garage, or is there enough 'stuff' to do two?

I've been looking at flooring options too. My problem is that my garage is so big 36'X28'. I could easily drop 4-5 grand on Race deck or similar type surface. I like the looks of yours. I might have to look into that. Thanks for the pics. ;)

Hey VT..If you have a Sherman Williams near you, ask them for ArmourSeal High Solids Epoxy. Its a 2 part, A+B..Stinks like hell, but holds up well..lol..We have used it in our chemical plant, and there are parts painted 4 yrs ago that are holding up to forklift traffic, and chemicals really well. Its about 60.00/gal each part.

Mine is going to be 2200 SF so I am going with some kind of epoxy, black with the yellow lines on it like a road.I wanted racedeck but @ 6-7K it is crazy .I thought about just plain black and white tile.

Rokt-I think the Sherman Williams stuff can be made in whatever color you want..I will check..I know it used to be available in black, and yellow, but they changed the formula due to some new regulations about a year ago. They might not sell it to "joe homeowner" because of the regs..theres ways around that though..lol
