well I dropped my truck off this morning at the body shop to have a small dent in the rear pasenger side taken out. Im already having withdrawls, cause now I have no means of transportation and I ll be damned if I'm driving my brothers Saturn. Im not even going to get into whats wrong with that thing. But on a good note I do have an interview with a local dealer for a position there. So who knows by the end of this week I might have my truck back with JMB CAI and maybe even a job

Let's hear some experiences from those that have dings and dents removed...I have a couple that I want to have worked on...but am really afraid of what will come back...any guidance?

As long as there are no creases or cracked paint. Dentless repair is wonderful. The local dealership here had someone lean on the hood of a Red SRT 10 and the dentless folks took it fight out.

I had my truck repaired from when it was keyed about a year ago. The biggest reoccurring problem is the side moulding. They kept coming loose. I was able to get new ones and still had the same problem. I'm now on my third set. The good thing was since they took the badges off I just had them leave them off.

unfortunatley mine was more than dented. My buddy who hit my managed to scrape a signifigant amount of paint off along with it. So the only option available is that they are going to strip the entire rear passenger quarter panel, remove the dent and sand it and apply a fresh coat of paint. Which works out to my advantage considering there were a few signifigant sratches along that side anyways from who knows what. The shop I took her to is highly recommended around here and as an added bonus the guy who is supposedly working on mine owns a red QC of his own

Hey Prof
What you get back solely depends on who you take it to and for that you need to either bring it to me <VBG> or really do your homework . Look at previous work ,check past customers and ask around locally . My mechanic is also a paintless guy who is very good so thats first option depending on the dent . Most anything with a crease will not come out paintless so then it would go to the body shop . Do ask how they do dents as some of the less than quality shops will just fill it with mud (a no no ) if they cant do metal work (what they used to call body work ) no bondo work . Good luck whatever U do

I researched the place I took mine too extensively. A buddy of mine had his hemi worked on there and it looked real nice. I told them that Bondo was a no no. they also had a book at their shop of past and present work. I also recieved a thank you letter in the mail shortly after scheduling that included pics of my truck as well as a description of what they planned to do. my opinion is this shop is one of a kind but I am not going to judge as I havent seen the finished product as far as my truck goes

Mike:

Give us some general guidlines:

1. What would a good repaint (same color) job cost? You know something with a few minor scratches, and the normal dings?

2. Repaint to a different standard color, no graphics or skulls or stuff?

3. Is it really possible to just paint a panel or two and get the truck to look good as new?

Thanks for your professional input...
