well folks, as many of you have had issues in the past i have shared your pain with the loose crank pulley. i took it to the dealer 2k miles ago, they replaced the crank pulley and belt. well it started wobbling again and squeaking, so i took it back and told them the issue. writer calls me at 5 and tells me that the crankshaft is the problem. so a new motor is on its way from detroit for my truck.

1. How many times has it been fixed for the same problem.
2. Do you or anyone else think that having a non numbers matching SRT 10 RAM will effect the value of the truck in the future. Like corvettes I'm sure our trucks will be collectors items in the future and some already are.
3. Put your wing back on. In the owners manual it states the DC will not be held responsible for any SRT 10 RAM that acts up as a result of it losing its wing:D !

W000 hooo! I would love to have a new motor.. Cept for the break in :(
I guess this is a win/loose situation.. You loose your truck for a while but
you get a new engine. i don't know weither to congradulate you or to sympathize. :dontknow:

No numbers on the block...

Well the problem with the numbers matching issue... our engines doesnt have the numbers stamped on it. So, this isnt going to affect your value at ALL... if anything.. ITS A NEW MOTOR!! SMILE!!

what year srt-10 do you have ??

my SRT is a 2004, and i dont drive it everyday so i dont miss it. and its for sale so im not concerned about value later on down the road. the motor hasnt even gotten in from DC yet, maybe tomorrow. but who knows. they are supposed to call me when it gets in. ill keep yall posted. ohh, and its been in the shop once before for the issue, and they 2nd time the tech looked and it and said the pulley was fine, the crank was the problem

i am also getting a new engine from detroit what kind of break in will be required once it is fixed i am the secound owner. It is also covered under warranty

usually new motors don't need a break in anymore. they come with mobile 1 which won't let much break in happen anyway. new rings and bearings will be seated in about 100 miles is you have dino oil in it.
