Do slim jims work on the trucks if you lock your keys in it or your remote won't work......how would you access the truck with out breaking anything---I'm looking into removeing the keyed door handle and replaceing it with a keyless one....

yes slim jims do work, had to get it done to my truck once at a gas station

I USE A WEGE AND A PINK EZ AND GRAB THE INSIDE HANDLE TO POP THE LOCK I KNOW I USE TO DO REPOS

My QC SRT10 was jacked last Thanksgiving if they want it ....... they will get it :( it was found 4 days later just a rolling shell:mad: it had low jack.

I just watched two AAA drivers try to get into my dads Rumblebee last Friday. Neither of them could do it with a slim jim. Then they wanted to pry the door from the top with a wedge and use an airbag to put a long bar inside the cab. I wouldn't let them do this. I had my dad take his insurance papers, and VIN down to the dealership. They made him a plastic door key for $4. Now he has it to carry in his wallet.

i recommend using layers of security. a combination of the club, column collar, alarm, kill switch, etc works best. i live in a city with a very high auto theft rate, and have survived 9 yrs with no vehicles successfully stolen.

i have dealt with a half dozen attempted thefts (all from my driveway or in front of my house). in every case, i either heard an alarm go off, or saw somebody on one of the surveillance cams. then it was just a matter of running outside with a 12ga, Taser, and 3200 lumen HID flashlight.

did the cops just not bother using the lojack to find it?

Wait Jt doesnt low jack have a gurantee of finding your vehicle within a certain amount of time or else they refund you some money???

i was really suprised how easy this was...i was working on my son's truck, when the doors locked on me while it was running:eek: AAA driver used the wedge/airbag method and then used a coat hanger to hit the window button

Sorry guys but I'd blow the back widow out before using that air bag things. That is if I had a key to start it? bobbymac

My truck locked on my while it was running. The Pop-a-Lock guy used the airbag/wedge method as well. I did give consideration to going through the back window. But my insurance company reimbursed me for the service call. I now keep a spare key in my wallet.

I had my truck broken into (not srt) through the back window and it is a power slider the dam thing was worth like a 1000. Just a thought

Yep, you can't just get the center window for these.... It's a whole unit. I think the side windows are actually cheaper.
