Stopped yesterday morning to put gas in the truck and after less than a gallon it kicked off. Okay, reset it and it kicked off right away. Wasn't sure what it was, but I needed to get to work so I let it go with just getting a couple gallons in it.

I left early and went to a different station. Same thing. Went to the dealer and explained the problem. Short version is that the rollover check valve is tits up. Guess what? You can't just replace the valve. You have to replace the whole tank. Tank has to come from Detroit, so I have to wait for 7 to 10 days for it to come in.

So tomorrow (if it doesn't snow tonight) I will have to fill the tank a gallon at a time.

I'm just glad it's still under warranty.

Hey Silver,

Last time I heard someone having that poblem it was because someone was stealing gas. When thay jammed the hose in, they cased the same kind of problem....Arg!

See, there is something good about living near Detroit.:p Sorry to hear that John, I hope it gets taken care of quickly.

Bill.

In the meantime I think I'd fill a couple of 5 gallon gas cans, get a nice long funnel, and do it myself at home.:)

my truck did that for about a day or to and a friend of mine his truck did the same thing but the next day it stoped and hasn't done it no more

Sorry to hear about your truck John - :( Who needs crap like that anyways

Mikey or Stinker may have peed in your tank?

my truck did the same thing. lasted 3-4 days. finally took it to the dealer and they kept it for 2 days. they took it twice to the gas station and put fuel in with no problem. when i picked up the truck, they tried to give me a lesson on how to put fuel in a vehicle. it hasnt done it since (about a month now)

Are you sure you didn't flip the truck? :D :p I know how you get with a few beers in ya! :star:

 :dontknow:

Well, that would explain the scratches on the top and the chopped look it now has. :p :D

Roll over valve? That's a new one on me...I guess it's a check valve to keep gas from running out if you rollover? :dontknow:  Hopefully they'll get you squared away and back on the road without too much BS...

I had the check valve replaced on my truck after 3K. They only had to replace the part not the tank.
