Since it was covered under warranty it didn't cost me a cent. I was however curious on the cost of a tank so I asked what it cost. He told me retail price for the tank was over $800.00. DAMN.

i happen to have 2 tanks in stock they sell for $560.00 + install to retail customers. the check valve is in the tank. we had a string of tanks that needed to be replaced a few months back. I think it has something to do with the mixtrure of gas and ethanol. in AZ we swap mixtures depending on what time of year it is. :dontknow:
anyway glad its covered for you.

Silverback said:Stopped yesterday morning to put gas in the truck and after less than a gallon it kicked off. Okay, reset it and it kicked off right away. Wasn't sure what it was, but I needed to get to work so I let it go with just getting a couple gallons in it.
I left early and went to a different station. Same thing. Went to the dealer and explained the problem. Short version is that the rollover check valve is tits up. Guess what? You can't just replace the valve. You have to replace the whole tank. Tank has to come from Detroit, so I have to wait for 7 to 10 days for it to come in.
So tomorrow (if it doesn't snow tonight) I will have to fill the tank a gallon at a time.
I'm just glad it's still under warranty.
