ok guys , time for me to go offshore again. this time i will be gone for a month and want to know the things i can do to make sure the battery stays hot .
if i disconnect the battery will it shoot any codes once i connect it back? or is there any reseting i will have to do ?

I have one that has been sitting for over a year and a half. I disconnect my battery all the time at car shows. No issues

Just disconnect the negative terminal...it will be fine. That's what we do to re-boot the pcm when it is throwing a strange code.

WAIT!!!

You will have to reset your radio presets....:(

:D:D:D

Good luck out there and stay safe!!!

my uncle works for dodge in recall department and i guess they are having some problems with the pcm being cleared if the battery is disconected for given period of time, i would just get a battery tender and forget about it

Thats what I would do, your battery will last longer if a charge is mantained. I know this is the case on the harley.

A battery tender is cheap insurance. That is the way to go.

i will be leaving at my office in la. so my wife cant drive it. If a battery tender needs power i am out of luck on that one.

No ya won't. When you first turn on the stereo after REconnecting the battery, it'll go through it's check-thing with the 6 disc changer. After that, just press your preset buttons and it should go to that station.

stick -

I disconnect my battery all of the time. Been doing it for years with all of my 'Toys'. Your battery will be just fine - especially in the mild weather you have down there!

When you get home, REconnect it, check your fluids, and it should fire right up.

Let it warm for a while, then go find your L bud and make us more Video's!!!

Be Careful and Happy New Year Dude!
