Ok, I'll try this one more time and rephrase the question.....

Why buy tunes for an SCT tuner that you don't have gas for? Why not have a "valet" tune or stock tune for the valet and the girlfriend, which will still be 91 octane stock. Then buy a tune for 91 octane with the torque control off and the timing bumped etc, to wake the truck up. That's 2 tunes.
Why buy additional tunes for gas you probably won't go to the trouble to find unless you spend a lot of time at the track??????? Help me out here.

I could possibly have lost my mind, or worse yet, be so completely ignorant of the way things work that insanity is the preferred choice

The unit will store up to 3/tunes. You don't want 3/tunes....then leave #3 BLANK!:marchmellow:

Exactly. Except you get three tunes. If you want a velet tune then I would control rev limiter and shift points ect. Really make the truck a Dakota. Then have a performance tune. U don't need three. I only have one base tune right now.

We use the bad-gas tune for thief. She doesn't get over 1200/rpm in any gear. :congrats:

Thanks guys....so you buy these tunes and they are "generic" unless you got someone standing there programming the tune from the dyno, right? Which is what I did with my Harley. So, if I want it my way, and I know something about the numbers then there's a lot more to a tune than just octane.......I can pick the parameters based on engine specs????? I understand those are across the board for a stock engine. What are they??
