Another Question

Does the SCT have a fan option? Where you can set your fan to come on earlier? Probably already answered but I do not know.

THANKS!

yes but youll need the lower temp stat to go with.

Yes, hydraulic fans on and off are controlled by the factory CTS sensor.

Thanks!

I do have the 172 degree t-stat and a B&G Stage 2 computer. Runs just over 200 in town in the summer.

Trying to decide if the newer programs are any better than my current stage 2. It is just over a year old. Plus I was wondering if the SCT had the fan option and if I should make the change.

How much do DC and B&G charge to flash your computer? I read where B&G would do it for 130. Are their programs as good as anyog the others?

I know these things have been talked over before but I never read any definite recommendations.

THANKS AGAIN!

Go with the sct scanner,I have a 172 degree t-stat,and a b&g stage II my truck was at 200 all day,got the scanner and now its at 172 all the time.

well nice way to hijack my topic guys ,,,and i still cant get an in depth anwser:dontknow:

so i will ask again ,what is the diff beteen B&G tunner set up and DC set up

The flash between the two cover the same items, when to turn the fan on, raised speed limiter and raise the rpm from 5500 to 6500. the difference is the timing and fuel. Both do great work and they support our forum. After you dyno the beast you fax 0r email them your dyno graph and they will send you an updated tune that you reinstall for the mods. I have the SCT from DC which is great! The handheld allows me to go back to stock when I have to tow.

No one ecept those vendors can answer that question. Every tuner with SCT is different. The SCT is only the tool that they use, how they write their programs is confidential info they only know.

Get yourself an SCT and sit on the dyno for 1 hour, and that will be the best SCT tuner for you.

now that was a good report thanks ,,,i have ordered the b&g tunner with the stage two ,gave him list of small mods i have ,,anyone know were i can dyno on a saturday in houston on west side of town

He needs to be on the dyno with you to nail it (or at least ready to email you). Adaptives and guesses on fuel octane don't cut it.
