what would be the best size turbo for a single set up? an does anybody have pictures of turboset ups on our trucks?

98mm for sure i have had the 88 and prefer the 98 and 1100whp on pump doesnt hurt either dont have any pics of the new 98mm setup will post some tomorrow

dang right bubba, tired of tearing crap up:D

but toole at least an 88mm bo, ceramic bearing is my choice.

and a gonking big ol cooler:D

an 88??? thats kinda big isnt it? how would that spool up on say everyday driving?

I am thinking very seriously about it , tired of the builds:D

but toole to me an 88 is very large, but a 76mm would work also, but due to our cid's I wouldnt go much smaller, I know I was supposed to help you with this bo, and I do aplogize, but man as you see with the hood, it has taken a ton of my time:eek:

but either a 76 or 88 will do very nice, and with the hp you are making allready it will be even better.

see the nice thing with a turbo over a supercharger is you only use it when you really need it, i could run around all day long and not hit one pound of boost, jsut like you were N/A, thats what I love about them.

then when you need it , its there, now yes, it may take 3-3500rpms for you to get boost, but its there alot quicker than you would think;)

look at it this way toole, with turbos you can be running down the road at a steady pace say 50mph just cruising, drop a gear and flip the clutch and all you will get is sideways, two sets of spyder gears, two worn tires, and alot of smoke rolling out from under the back of the truck:burnout:

im thinking about the 76mm just cause i have a friend that i can pick it up for cheap it came off of his vette.. but what do you think about a remote mounting the turbo? kinda like the sts kit but i want to re do some stuff? ideas thoughts? an stink don't worr about it man

I think done correctly it will work, you may get mixed reviews tho so be prepared;)

but remember this....we have many more possibilities than the viper cars because we have so much more room.

there has been a ton of talk about this and that will not work, i still think 850hp + is possible with the right combination from a paxton:D

but toole the only way to find out is to step outside the box, think for yourself, do a ton of research, and see what happens, there has been allready a few that have failed.

but I think if you do it right, you would end up with an easy 800hp:burnout:

haha no big deal i'm pretty sure i'll bore you with questions before this is all over with an i think the remotemount would e perfect.. it's cheaper.. just i want to make sure i have way more fuel to keep it rich so it'll neer go lean.. but then that leadds us to injectors and fue pumps.. i would be more than happy with 800 at the wheels

my 88 was spooled up at 2700 rpm and the 98 is spooled up by 3500 a single 76 would be to small imho

I am working with someone now on a decent fuel system upgrade, dont know how long it may take , but hopefully not too long.

but you will need good fuel pressure, and I think at the very least 65lb injectors, some say that is too small but i made 1000rwhp on them.

as for an intercooler, BD actually makes a very nice one for the desials that work great, and very durable. and its a drop in basically, so look up bd desiel and look at those.

the piping is not bad.

but you will need a few guages, boost, fuel pressure, ari/fuel minum

a fuel pressure regualtor, and a fuel return system.

you may even want to relocate the tank itself.

but other than that a good bov, and wastegate, and run around 12-15lbs

sorry for the spelling:D been a bitch of a day, started off replaceing the elbos on the rig, which led to the piping off the turbo, which led to a broken manifold bolt, which has gotten nowhere:p but I did consume 14 beers during the work:argh:

how about the factory intercooler from dodge? and what could you do differantly to the sts system to help it?
i'd be happy with 650hp that spooled up real quick.
