turn signal issue

i know i wasn't blitzed when this happened to me in my 04 truck just last week, and i just happened upon this info today.
has anyone else experienced this in an 04 or 05?

OVERVIEW:
This bulletin involves replacing the multifunction switch if found inoperative or operating
incorrectly.
MODELS:
2006 DR Ram Pickup 1500
2006 DH Ram Pickup 2500
SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
Some customers may experience a turn signal switch malfunction that will cause the turn
signals to flash incorrectly. When selecting a right turn, the left flashers will function and
when selecting a left turn, the right flashers will function.

It's been mentioned that there may be too much dielectric grease in there and it corrodes. Clean and use minimal grease on connections.
Could be more to it like wear, but heard this again just last week on here. :rock:

iv'e had these columns apart several times... it's the connection where the stalk hits the metal things that cause each one to physically come on?

too much grease completing both circuits at the same time?

lol, i obviously know how it works... i was just making sure that's where they pinpointed the problem, or if they just replaced the stalk...

E, i'll let you know... i'll tear into it this week and see what i can find...

it just started last week and it was freezing cold, so maybe that had something to do with it, as well (as the heat in this truck sucks, lol)... i was able to recreate the problem a few more times, but only that night...

YA I had this problem in my mine. MFS module is pretty basic. Had some (black) oxidation on the circuit bd. Cleaned off a ton of dielectric grease with 99% alc. and used a pencil eraser to clean up the gold contacts. No problems since.

I've had it happen also, left was right, right was left, and high beam was washer fluid Lol!
