I was driving around with my 2 girls when a lightning gets next to me at the light. He looked at me and started reving his motor, all I could do was watch him smirking. I don't think he realized that I had 2 very important little passengers with me. When the light turned green he did not take off, he honked at me as I turned he pointed to his rear window. I did not know what he was talking about until he took off, on his rear window he had a sticker that read " Here..... Hemi ...Hemi... come and get it". :dontknow: I believe he thought it had a Hemi anyways I hope I catch him at a light; just to show him that it does not have a hemi.:) :)

The best thing to do in that situation is simply yawn at him.:boring: They don't know what to think. ;)

Good for you for not taking the bait...we have had posts in the past of high speed races with kids in the truck...

He thought you were a hemi cuz all the hemi's are buying wings on Ebay....:D

Yep, the right choice!! There will always be another day to race!! Your cargo was way to valuable to risk on a simple race!! GOOD CALL MY FRIEND!!

I saw a bLue Lighning here in Jax the other day with one of those stickers!! Kinda lame they would even consider that a decent kill!!

NOW NOW air diversion upper ground effect devices are winning your "Winged is the best way to go" poll. By a huge margin I might add.

Street racing is for RICERS and immature, irresponsible kids.
Glad you didn't race him, WTG.

You had made the right choice Jay.:top: For that YOU were the winner in my book :star: (and I'm sure I speak for most of us here). Besides, we all know (especially me) that you would have ate him for lunch.:eating: Sadly there were times when I was in the same situation:fight: and took the bait.:withstupid: That was when I first got her. Instead of thinking logically:stupido2: and letting them go I relied on my past law enforcement training in driving and figured I'd be fine.:driver: I'm glad that nothing bad ever happened:help: . But these days  I typically do like what Big Asp said and just yawn at them. Usually when I do that they roll down their window to ask :hmpf: what that's supposed to mean:questionmark: I just tell them that their vehicle isn't worth my time:slug: . That usually embarrasses them:motz: especially when they aren't alone.:ciao:

What an amazing statement!

Speaking of the Hemi comment I had a bag boy at the local grocery yell" Hemi`s rule" as I went by last night.I had to turn around and say"even more than Viper motors"?He said "ahhh, that`s a Viper motor in there"? I felt like saying "here`s your sign."

Good grief...some people.

I admit to being a bit immature at times..last night for instance.Ran around a Harley Ford to play with a Mitsubishi Eclipse. Not really a race as there was too much traffic, but enough to impress him.

A Kill with an Unusual Opponent..

I'm a bit immature at times too. Last night on my way back from a buddy's house I ran into a crotch rocket on the freeway. I was full of Fajitas and a little Bacardi, but not enough to even feel tipsy. I was feeling right and one with the road at that point and it was going to be hard to convince me to try and get into a pissing match with a high performance bike. Anyway the crotch rocket driver kept cutting me off, looking back at me, falling behind on another lane, then repeating with the cut off move. All of this was going on while I was really trying to behave. I'm not the one to try and entertain the idea that my virtually stock silver ass hauler is faster than his. But after about 15 or so miles of this 'shit'uation I had enough. He had a faster vehicle but was he stupid enough to exceed 150+ on that thing:questionmark: As I stated it was going to be hard to convince me to engage, but guess what! That clown just ffff@#*ing convinced me.

We played catch up with each other for a little while getting around the other traffic. He took adantage of his smaller size and ability to dangerously switch lanes between two cars on the white lane markers. I started to give in because I certainly didn't want to see this guy and his bike spread across the freeway. But then he finally got hold of a clear lane and took my submission as being a white flag. He put up his fist waving it about in a victorious gesture. Hell NO!!! I caught the same straight clear lane and dropped her from 6th to 4th opening up her lungs making her roar. I was right there beside him. I shifted back to 6th just to get a last look at him. I waited just for the right moment... for him to look at me. Once I saw the reflection of his helmet I dropped her to 4th again placing me ahead. Yeah he began to quickly catch up but my prediction was right... He wasn't willing to go that fast. So while far up ahead I started letting her take it back down to about 120 when I hit her hazards to return the gesture. I saw as he tried to catch up but I made sure I kept far ahead until my exit was reached. But you would think he'd count his blessings that he survived the ordeal, nope! He followed me off the freeway. He thought I was going to make a left so he positioned himself in the middle lane to also make a left. But instead I used the u-turn in the freeway underpass to go home. :dontknow: He probably wouldn't have been satisfied until he got an ambulance ride somewhere.

What is it with these PowerStroke drivers. I was lined up with one at a light. I never even looked in his direction. When the light went green. He nailed it. Turbo spooling up and black smoke. I gave him half a length and went by him like he was standing still. I just accelerated up to the speed limit and backed off. He must of thought I was a Hemi. His mistake;) .

there is an 11 sec. powerstroke in deer park......ive heard of it but never seen it
