I had a 1/2" long ring of pipe left behind inside the pipe when the muffler shop cut the joint. It rattled bad. I took a hammer and gently tapped the pipe to see which and where the pipe was rattling. Had to cut it and fish it out, then reweld it.

Headers, Mids, Magnaflow in one shot, my brother and I in 6 hours, 2 six packs, probably could have finished in 5 without the beer, but it was more fun that way.

I like Burntrubber's idea ... Start Friday .... Good luck.

See you guys Sunday ...

Did you throw a code too? I throw a bad injector on #1. I clean it, and it clears itself. How much was the breather from Roe?
No code, but it was leaking a bit. The breather was about $50 i think, works well.

1. I have this noise that is coming from somewhere on the exhaust. Maybe it is transferring from something else. I dont hear it in the engine bay but mostly from under the truck on the passenger side. It has gotten worse so I am thinking some heat shield may be loose. That is what it sounds like. I looked under the truck and it seems that everything is very tight and secure so I am confused. I have heard some heat shield rattle info from the exhaust manifolds have made a sound like this but not sure about the location of the sound.

When I get on the throttle a bit it increases and decreases on the way down. At idle, it kinda will rattle a bit, then stop and kinda roll in and out. I currently have magnaflow CB welded in place. Nothing is loose and that is my concern.

I will be installing my bassanis and JMB catless mids this weekend so I think I should be able to eliminate it by doing this. Just looking to see if anyone has had a similar problem.

2. I get an engine code every so often about injector #1. Then a puff of gray smoke and a misfire for a bit. She runs rough then clear up. I popped hood and noticed that my oil cap has a slight drip onto plug #1. It seems after I installed my CAI from JMB maybe I am getting some back pressure and blowing by the seal on the cap? The gasket looks okay but I am going to change it anyway. Anyone else have this problem and do you think I need to take to the dealer? Once I clean up the area, the truck runs perfect. In fact it is only once in a while that this problem arises. I can go months without a problem then it just starts, last a few minutes, wipe it down and gone...

Help me VTCOA-Kenobi, you're my only hope... ;)

Did you ever figure out what that rattling noise was coming from the passenger side? Im starting to have the same problem. Only i have a stock exhaust system.:dontknow:

Most definatly ---very entertaining

I guess no one else mentioned it because everyone probably took theirs off, including you. I changed everything out but left the stock resonator....a baffle in it does this buzzing metallic rattle when it gets really hot, but it's not to the annoying stage yet...just now and then. So if your resonator is still on, you might include that in the exam.
