Did a search and found a few threads on this but would like a clearer opinion on this subject.

I recently bought a 2005 RC with a paxton. First thing I want to do is change all fluids and start from scratch with my fuild change intervals. Every fluid will be changed. In my RT/10 I use 0W40 and in my TT GTS I use 15W50 both Mobil1, and royal purple in the diffs etc...

For a Paxton SC SRT10 RC what is the best engine oil to use here in Texas? Does the paxton create enough heat to use the 15W50 like my TT? Also what is the best diff, tranny, powersteering fluid to use?:dontknow: Going to replace all grease fittings and use Mobil1 Synthetic as well. Figure if I flush everything and start from sctrach it will eliminate all guesswork. :hmmmm:

As most of you know Vipers run HOT so I only run 20% antifreeze and the rest water with two bottles waterwetter, do I need to do the same in the truck?:dontknow:

Any advise would be much appreciated!

FWIW more than 1 bottle of water wetter is a waste. WW and Purple Ice are both anti surfactants, they reduce the surface tension of the water. Adding more than one doesn't achieve anything greater.

out of the choices listed, went with Amsoil.

been runnin the Shell 5w-40. likes it:rock:

LOL Dom is being nice!!!! everytime i see someone mention oil Dom is the first that comes to mind!!! I shoudl start a thread about it when i get back to piss him off!!!

After the advise here and elsewhere iam going with the following:

Motul RBF 600 for brakes and clutch

Redline Power Steering Fluid

Mobil1 15W50 engine oil

Redline ATF D4 for tranny

Redline 75W140 gear oil

New coolant for Rad and Paxton with Water Wetter

To verify a hunch I am going to dyno the truck prior to the entire truck fluid flush. Right after flushing the fluids I will dyno it again and see if there is any increase or decrease. I am assuming with full synthetics and reduced friction I MAY see about 2-5hp increase. Nothing you can feel but just extra for grins. Yes I will do three pulls each way and average them on my report.
