I've always been hinky about this.....
My friend Helmut recommended that I only archive a few tunes at one time so I'd still be considered too small a fish to persue...
At first I only kept about 25 songs and deleted the rest. But people kept asking what happened to this or that song and I began keeping more and more of them... I think there's 50-60 songs on my website now....
Usually when someone is sued by RIAA or BMI for non-commercial downloading, they get nailed for about 40 cents a song..... At least that's what I've read...
My shit is so old that I doubt that anyone is even buying it anymore... based on that fact, how could they claim lost revenues.... They ought'a thank me for keeping this music alive after anywhere from 30-70 years....
Besides, I think they have better things to with their high priced attorneys than to go after some old geezer for a coupl'a hundred bucks...

I agree completely! And, if you read deeper, I think this article says something about using it for profit.
IMO, posting songs for a few friends to listen to without downloading, and not charging for the listen, is not going to trip anybody's trigger. I could probably load all 40 gig's of my music on my website, and they still wouldn't look twice at me. We just aren't flying the flags they are looking for.
