Ulitimate Dream To Drive

i cant even stand to watch him drive it like that...only watched about 20 sec of it..i would love to take my baby over there one day...

don't be to "brave" there.... we have tryed it a couple of times.... i was complete surprized as when you want to go fast the bends are so many and most of them are " blind".... much better with a well balanced ("race") car so you can take actions when things go wrong.... it's about 13 miles... one lap costs now 23 € ... we have many members in our race club who go there frequently... most of them agree you need to drive about 50 laps to have a idea of the bends.. left,right... straight, going up... down... don't forget there are no safety zones in most places... many cars crash and have to be found somewhere in the woods .... :D Most danger is oil or cooling water from another car in front of you, changing weather... this is a recent pic.... but sad enough... almost every days event, if not 2 or 3 ......;)

Why do you have to crush our dreams:D

Some observations.

First off it appeared to be a Red Truck, so that accounts for some of the poor performance. ;) :D Sorry guys, just couldn't help myself.

For the most part he was very smooth. Looked to me that he turned in late on a few corners and had a lot of oversteer as a result, but still not bad.

The only cars that passed him were Porsche 911 series cars. Not bad.

I'm not sure that I would have been on the ass of the cycle. If he had went down, I would not want to run over his ass. Really would have screwed up the front end of the truck.

So all in all, I think he did a good job and stayed within his limits and the trucks.

not bad at all  and.... when you have no track knowlegde there ,the fastest way is indeed following somebody... that runs about your speed possibilitys... ofcourse better a car then a cycle... :D and hope HE has some experience... :dontknow: :p :D :D :D

FUN indeed !

He sucked at keeping the 10 in it's RPM band and his turns were off, but if it were his first time I could understand the turn issues but the shifting I cannot justify? Also the Porsche did pass him but the only things I saw him pass were a couple grocery getter Volvo Wagons or something wagon.:dontknow:

Watch again. There was at least one BMW (it was hard to tell if it was a M series or not) and VW Golf, which over there have some nice performance capability.

It's also hard to tell for sure what RPM's he was turning just from a video. Depending on the equipment, it could have completely different sound.

Since Barry has driven there with a SRT/10, he can probably give a better assessment of how the guy did, so I will defer to him.

i agree on the rpms gotta keep em high through the corners !!!!!!!! can slow quicker into corner and come out of corner much quicker ,, but what do i know i cant shift mine !!! does anyone wanna trade ???? lol

One more thing to remember about the RPM's. Race motors are generally designed with the HP/Torque curves higher in the RPM band. The Viper motor produces shit loads of torque in the lower RPM's, and torque is what accelerates you out of a corner.

That's right dad :D ... our trucks have enough torque in the lower RPM's to drive "quick" around the Nordschleife.... in the capabilitys of those trucks ! They aren't race cars... no sense to compare... unless it's a straight circuit without corners...:D :D :D

I can give a example on our circuit Zolder , here you see my son, who has alot of experience over there, driving my SRT ( with the ROE ! ) :( ....ok, he takes care for my truck but nevertheless... go's quicker then i do... ;)

In comparison you see him at the time with his Renault Clio Williams... about 150 HP/ 900 kg .... and quicker around the track... !!!!! so you should take risks with the SRT to keep up with that little car.... even if you should have brakes that keep up for a few laps..... ;) :)
