Under OEM airbox?????

Is there suppose to be a flat tray or anything like that under the orginal airbox. My truck came with a KN CAI. I'm trying to get all the original equipment back on.

NO tray...the box hooks onto the wheel well liner...

So the airbox has only one screw mount on the rad support and thats it? Kinda just suspended there.

Here are some pictures.

# 4 shows the air hole to the fender and the attachment to the radiator support
# 1 & 3 shows the rubber thingys that go into/ sit on the fender liner.

No...if you look at the first picture above you will see an extension (for lack of a better word) on the bottom right of the box.....this sets in a hole on the wheel well liner...the box sits very solidly in place..

Not to beat this thing to death but is the fender liner the same verbage for the wheel well? Is there any plastic liner or anything on top of the wheel well and between the airbox?

This is only true for the box on the passenger side....the driver's side air box mounts to the metal fender...

Hold everything...it does connect to the extra battery box which has probably been disposed of on yours.
