Can you carry on a guitar? Isn't it too big? I guess if I really had to check it in, I would try to get a Pelican style case for it. Like golfers have for their Golf bags when they check them in.

I have been unable to fly with mine for a while now.

I had a amazing 8 string tenor uke in a custom roadie case still get smashed all up in transit once. I have also seen at a few friends gigs full metal cases for rigs destroyed. They have some amazing idiots out there on the tarmac.
