Update on truck dying

Below is the thread about my truck dying. Any way took it to the dealer and they said there was a program upgrade for it. No codes thrown but they were able to duplicate the problem. I call BS on this (the program update). Because I had the stock PCM in when the dealer looked at it and put the stage 2 back in right away when I got it home.

I believe Stinker was right. I had a weak battery. I left it on a trickle charger and it had still died. But I took a road trip with it (2300 miles) and probably charged the battery back up. Oh I got the truck back from the dealer one day before I took the road trip.

Truck has been starting up just fine after the road trip:rock:

Buy a battery...sleep well at night...it can get very cold in a stalled truck in Wyoming...

uhum the real reason I suggested that is uhum I had a tuner(believe it or not) tell me my cam was bad in my truck because when it got to 4000rpms it would cut out and act up

I brought her home , replaced the dead celled batry, and whabam! 6500rpms

Probably will buy a new one next winter. Plus it the truck usually doesn't go out of town during the winter. It is starting to warm up here. Got up to 43 today:rock:

It has been really nice here lately:rock: Went out today wearing a t-shirt and wasn't bad. Dry roads and no traction in the truck. I will do a 20 punch with 3/4 throttle and see two black marks behind me:burnout: I need to get rid of these Pirelli's and get something that will hook better

Spring is right around the corner. You should start planning a GTG again. I might be able to swing out that way. The GF dad just got stationed(National Guard) about 4 hours away from Wadsworth. At least he isn't getting shipped overseas again.
