FYI- Any one looking to install CalTracs on a NON-Lowered QC, throw away the directions:mad: If you follow the directions, the system won't install properly and you could be creating a dangerous situation. Unless I got the wrong directions in my kit. I'll send them an email and let them know what happened with my install. Please look at the pics below.

Installation according to included instructions:

notice how little the nuts have engaged the u-bolts.

Installation according to me:

The u-bolts are engaged much more, and I figured out what the plates were for. The kit should have come with some grade 8 washers for the spring alignment bolt, but luckily I had some in the garage from a harness install on the TR-7.

Thanks for everyone's help on my other post, I can see how this could have been bad:eek:

You did it right, I guess. The U Bolts I usually see, the nuts go under the axle, like you did. Now let's here how good you hook up!:D

Oh come on. I know you've laid on it after the install. I need to know are they worth the $? BTW, how much are they?

I just took it off the jackstands 10 minutes ago, going to the stealership next about the oil lines.
Even when they were installed wrong, there was a noticable difference. 1-2 shift was much less dramatic, and 2-3 was just a chirp.
PM Stinker, he'll give you a good deal.
