Sony Bravia LCD

That's what I have with a Bose Home system too! Great TV. Great HD picture!

I have the digital cable package and by the first of the year we are supposed to have over 100 HD channels. As it stands now, most of the stuff I watch is offered in HD!

Broadcast HD channels can only be viewed in 1080i as its highest resolution. The "i" stands for interlaced. "P" is for progresive scan.

Im a TV buff, I purchased a Panasonic 42" 1080P plasma around Christmas and just purchased a Samsung 1080p 120HZ 52" LCD a couple weeks back. The pictures arent even comparable, the Samsung LCD is a bad mutha! HD TV and bluray is insane on it, almost spooky like they are in the room with you. IMO hands down Samsung 5 series (60HZ) for 46" or smaller and 6 series for the 52". I shopped for months and talked to a ton of people about it at multiple stores, they all said the samsung was as good or better than the XBR sony's which are also bad ass. Paid $2150 shipped from Amazon and arrived in 3 days, saved $500+ from local stores, plus no sales tax.

it is my understanding that there are only 2 flat panel makers, and Samsung is one of them. now i mean the screen, not the whole set....is this true?

I've been considering a new TV when I get back in the employment saddle.

I have been looking into the Samsung HL61A750. It is a 61 inch DLP LED TV.

Seems to have all the latest stuff:

The price from Crutchfield is great, too.... I have seen other prices that were lower, but those other offers are from companies that aren't selling the American version (No USA Warranty, No english characters on screen/or language defaults/No remote control and from $199-299 for shipping) Crutchfield's offer is a great one... and includes free shipping.

Does anyone have any negatives to attach to this system....?
