:D :D :D

The Marines are not the only ones who get to have fund at shore...;)....

When my guys (all services) start to squabble (and it doesn't take much), I get a round, set them down and tell them to raise them to a toast, "Here's to killing people you don't like, with people you do like."

Simmers them down in no time and the conversation shifts for awhile. Some beer and proper anger redirection always does the trick. :fight:

Well atleast the Army has the common sense not to say "its on the 2nd deck", or "attention on deck" when we are not in a friggin ship. :dontknow: :D

It is a "floor" and all you have to do is say "group, attention". Now repeat after me. I AM NOT ON A BOAT, I AM NOT ON A BOAT. :p :D :star:

Anyone ever grab a bucket of steam?
Or been sent out on Mail Buoy Watch?
:D

(My little brother just signed up for his 3rd tour of the Persian Gulf)

We got in trouble once for the ole mail buoy prank.

We sent this seaman to the fantail with a hook and instructions to pick the mail buoy. We were station on the USS Deyo DD989(Destroyer).

Well, 30 mins went by and no pissed off seaman on sight...

So, me and the ole chief head down to the fantail...

to our supprise the dedicated seaman doned a safety harness, climbed over the life rail and was kneeling on the edge, hook extended looking for the buoy.

We saw our carreers flash before us...I never thought he would go that far...

So I asked him due to his total commitment, outstanding initiative and lack of common sense......did you used to be a Marine?

His answer: UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUURAHHHHHHHHHHH!..:p :p :p
