Since moving up to the Mile High City I felt like my brake stopping power had suffered noticeably. I had Just Brakes bleed the lines and check everything out a year ago, said they couldn't find anything wrong. More or less if I had to slam the brakes off the line I would have noticeable travel before stopping.

Now that I have heads and cam I am sure I will notice this even more. Still not tuned and on the road yet. The question I pose to the heavily modded & the cammed up guys, Is anyone using a vacuum reservoir? Obviously for me altitude plays a factor combined with the cam. I need to hit up Autozone and grab a vacuum gauge and see where I am sitting on the HG.

Doesnt sound like a vacuum issue. When vacuum is the problem it will act like the engine is stalled and there is no brakes/a rock hard pedal that yoiu have to stand on to stop. When the engine stalls, it will no longer make vacuum, thus no brakes, if the cam is making no vacuum it will act similarly. In order to compensate for this, some people will use a vacuum canister to maintain vacuum in low vacuum situations. A soft pedal or excessive travel is not a vacuum issue.

Before I went to Just Brakes I was at an intersection where the person in front of me slammed their brakes for no reason and I had to hit mine and damn near rear ended them because the truck just didn't react with enough braking force. Guys at Just Brakes test drove it as well and said they felt fine. Guess once I get back on the road I will have to see how they feel after sitting for a year. Just felt like on the East Coast before moving here my brakes worked great.
