Valve cover bolts and gaskets

Can someone point me in the right direction as to where to purchase valve cover gaskets for an 04. Also im really hoping someone can tell me the size and length of the valve cover bolts cause im looking to upgrade them to chrome covered bolts after I paint the valve covers

Well im really wanting to order chromed bolts is the reason I was wanting to try to find the size and length of the bolts

don't use chrome, chrome on small bolts will end up chipping, use stainless allen heads, 1/4 20 , and be sure to use a stainless washer also, thinset, valve cover gaskets are reusable, if you really want them, contact a dealer or vendor, we usually keep a number of oem gaskets in stock

Well I know when I was on the phone the other day you had said that the intake manifold gaskets were reusable but the valve covers are the same way?? So the valve cover bolts are 1/4 20 just like the intake manifold bolts? Are the valve cover bolts 1" long as well?

yessir, 1/4 20 about an inch hang on let me double check,yessir one inch, the valve cover gaskets, its a toss up the valve cover gaskets are $20 each list, we usually sell them for about $16 each, so dpends on what you are trying to save, just be sure to clean the old ones well, usually I have seen them used about 3 times then they get torn usually,
but on the bolts, chrome when you tighten up the bolts seem to separate the chrome from the bolt and eventually flake , so we swapped to stainless

Ok sounds great Tony and I will probably do that then cause I dont want the chrome to start separating later down the road or even when im tightening them. So to be clear its a 1/4 20x1" on both the intake manifold bolts AND the valve cover bolts? I will probably just end up calling you next week and ordering 2 new valve cover gaskets just to be on the safe side. I do agree with you and think the intake manifold gasket will be fine, at least with what I could see when I was looking at it earlier.

I got all mine from Fastenal, 1/4x20x1 SS hex head with matching washers, they were 3/16 allen head, think i got 2 bags of 25 for less than $50...............I'll check, did my intake manifold with them also.....
