Silver Truck, Red Truck

Silver Truck;

Hogan's shipped the intake manifold for the silver truck Friday, I should have it monday. Then I will take it up to Richard's.

I already have the Accubab 90mm air doors with Wiggens clamps, Turbonetics Turbos, Turbonetics Newgen swing valve wastegates, and Turbonetics Godzilla blowoff valve.

The truck is at Richard's and he will do the fabrication on the turbo headers, mounts and intercooler plumbing.


Red Truck;

I got the "Stinker" DTS rear end and it looks good. I ordered a TA Cap Girdle/Cover like Prof's and the Silver Truck.

I ordered a few 33x10.5x15 Hoosiers last week.

Ordered the 15x10 Bogart wheels for the rear

Heads are done, block and crank are at the machine shop which will take a month or more (probably more, lol lol). Lots of parts in the machine shop. Pistons and rods have been recieved.

I have the Centerforce clutch, Fidenza flywheel, and Viper hydraulics. I will wait untill the new engine W/blower goes in.

I have the 750CC RC injectors.

I will probably install the VEC III that I have before that.

I need to do a fuel system, and have a few parts courtesy of Stinker.

I will wait on installing the Bassani headers untill the new motor goes in.
The rest of the Exhaust system is done.

The trans in the red truck works great but I am thinking of putting some HD pieces in one of the other T56 truck boxes I have.

The 4 Qa1 Single adjustable shocks are already installed, as are the Caltracs.

It still runs great and is my driver, and I won't take it apart untill I get all the pieces and stuff I know I will need.
 
Jack- did you change out the 5th shock (the spool up one)?
If so, what did you use?
 
My truck is down for the count.Dont know when I will build it back or stick another motor in it.#4 Went lean due to a loose fuel injector plug. (It least thats the conclusion I have come to), when I had the Paxton on it.If anyone doing a build has an extra short block for sale at a "forum price" that would be great.:D My funds are so tight im digging in the couch cushions.lol ..........:D

House is sold. Minor modding to begin. Exhaust, computer, SC, you know the normal stuff. :)

I am not going to run the 5th shock on the Red truck. With the Caltracs it is not needed, and just excess weight.....

The Silver truck is 4 linked.
 
Jack- don't you think the 5th shock could work in conjunction with the CalTracs? Sort of a center-point fine tuner?

I'm just going with the "These Trucks Need All The Traction Help They Can Get" theory. :)

The 5th shock is just there to dampen spring windup which causes hop and loss of traction.

The Caltracs prevents spring windup so the shock is just along for the ride and does not do much.
 
You've all read about my recent mods. Now I'm fine tuning the tune for the altitudes I'll be racing at.
 
Stinker, you're a bitch for not coming out and enjoying the sunshine yesterday at the Rock :D

Sending my POS tranny (been sick since day one) out to T-56 Rebuilders and dyno tuning the a 150 wet shot along with a ported TB when it comes back.

Will send a review out when the trans is done...plan to get their stage 3 upgrade.

QA1 shocks go on order next week.


11's or bust this summer.


Bust will probably be the rear end ...so DTS will go on my speed dial ;)

I do not live in the house now, the Ex does. So no, I get a new house out of the deal also.
