vettes in panama city

so I just got back from my cabin in NC and pull into town and vettes are every where....so I have not drove my truck in about three weeks . So I check all my fluids and fire her up. Let her warm up and the first light i come to outside my neighborhood I find myself sitting next to a orange early model vette with the breather sticking out of the hood...I give him a rev and he looks at me like I am a rumble bee....So the light turns green and I just get on it a little ,,,,then I heard him drop the hammer... by the time I really get on it we are neck and neck and we stay even till about 90 were I let off of it. I gave him the thumbs up but the prick wont even look at me .

so I keep cruising and come up beside a 06 c6. he wont play

so I keep cruising and find a old stingray ,,,,gave him a rev and he answered back....we let them fly from about 20 and i pulled in him theough 2 but by the top of third I was at his back fender.....he was cool both of us gave the thumbs up .

so my wife says she wants to clen her car up and go cruising tommorrow..I say why we can take the truck and piss off a bunch of vette owners:rock: :rock: :rock: :rock: :rock:

to mf'in cool man.. i had a lighting SVT park next to me today at the gym..
as i was driving away the owner came out and just stared me down.. :D

EDIT: are vettes considered game? aka can we handle them to a point?

don't Just Love it when A 5000+ Truck Beats A Corvette Yeah I mean A Corvette. Than you see their faces and If they meet up with you their Usaul question is What do you got in that Thing?:rock: :rock:
 
yea alot of people say our trucks wont beat a c6 vette, but I take my wife all the time in the 1/8 mile and on the street I have beat almost every c6 that has wanted to play... and c5 dont hold a candle.......
what I like is that most vette owners dont do no mods because they already think they are the fastest.....until they get snake bit,,,,,,I acctually had one women tell me that they dont put viper engines in trucks, and that i must have had it done aftermarket

I concider 'em deaad meat most of the time. I've run down several. As was said above they think they are fastest hands down and when I run em usually the first time they are amazed next time varies :p
 
hope they will be down there next weekend, headed to pcb next friday for the weekend
 
If is says ZO6 on the fender, you can play with it but be prepared to be dissapointed.

sent you a PM. we should get together,,,,Sunday is funday at our local 1/8 mile. I will get my wife to cook as we bullshit about our trucks and make fun of her vette:rock: :rock:

If you want to run one I am sure my wife would be happy to run you...Dont take her Lightly thow . one mistake and she will take you, she knows how to get the most out of her car.:dancing: :dancing: :dancing:

ZO6 is to Corvette like SRT-10 is to Dodge Ram. It's their super uber car. 500HP like ours but half the fat.:burnout:
 
i tried to get a z06 to play in town a while back just so i could see what it was made of but he would come out to play. like i couldve handled him...lol a cpa here in town has a drop top that i whup up on everytime i see him but he's a good sport about it. we always laugh about it everytime we see each other.
 
Tried to get a C6 to play yesterday here, but he wouldn't have it! You could tell that he thought he was "king shit" too. But I couldn't get him to hit the throttle at all. "Chicken shit" is more like it! :D:D
 
Anytime you want to run a Z06 I'll let ya run an old worn out C5 Z06..... :D

The Z06 is more than just a motor package. They only come with the 6 speed with modified gear ratios, a stronger rear end, stiffer suspension that is also designed to hook better out of the hole, and LOTS of weight reductions, to the tune of about 100-150lbs off of a standard Coupe. Also lightweight wheels and Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar tires that in dry weather are very tough to beat as far as traction and handling are concerned. Mine is just the 405hp version and when it had about 3000 miles I took it to the track. With a 2.4 60' time it still pulled a 12.66@114. The horrible 60' time is due to this being the first stick shift car I had ever had the opportunity to drive, so I had 3k miles of experience driving a stick at that point. With a good 60' time it is capable of 12.2-12.4 Beware that Z06 owners are not your normal breed of corvette owners and normally have a little something up their sleeve "just in case". For me, it's to the tune of a 150 shot :D
 
Stock for stock, a regular c6 will kill a Viper truck hands-down. Provided that is, that the c6 driver knows what the hell they are doing. I know this because a buddy of mine has both a c6 and a 2006 RC. He had the Vette out one night and we raced.

Out of the hole, he got me by 2-3 car lengths. I started reeling him in a little bit, but by the time I hit 4th he was gone. Sorry to burst any bubbles here, but technically speaking, a c6 will beat (not slaughter, however) a Viper truck.

I think some of you guys were racing vettes with retard drivers. God knows there's plenty of those out there. My buddy however, is absolutely insane with that car..in a good way. He knows how to drive it. I could see though how a dumbass in a c6 might get beat by one of our trucks. Like I said before, they kill our trucks....they don't slaughter them!

For the record I strongly considered buying a c6 for about a year and a half. I chose the Viper truck over the vette for many reasons. The biggest reason is that Corvettes are everywhere. They made 37,000+ of them last year. Viper trucks are about as rare as a Ferrari in West Virginia. When I'm pumping gas, kids drool over my truck and take pictures of it with their cell phones. Do you think they do that when they see a vette?

Also, while there are plenty of cool guys who drive vettes (like my buddy), a vast majority of vette owners are 50-something retiree douche bags who would have a heart attack if they actually drove their car the way it was meant to be driven. They're cool cars, but there's just too many of them and too many jackoffs driving them.
