Hey folks. I shot some test video using a camera mount that I orginally designed for guitars, then adapted to work with the truck. I put a small driving clip together. Public streets, so don't expect a 10 sec. run or Chernobyl-esque burnouts.
It's nothing fancy, but somethings you might notice:
- The NASA-style docking procedure necessary to get the truck out of the garage/driveway. (It's much more complicated when both cars are in there)
- Under WOT, the Volant gets so loud the automatic noise gate on the videocamera kicks in.
- I didn't miss 3rd!!!!
- It's definitely fall here.
- Busses are slow.
- I'm a cynical bastard.

I'm still working on camera stabilization and on getting a clearer shot of the gauges while still maintaining the windshield shot. It's not too bad, but it can definitely be better. Sunny skies will probably help.
The video is about 11.5 minutes long, and the file size is LARGE (about 60MB). You will need the latest version of Quicktime to view it.
