Just wondering...anyone found a better game than F.E.A.R.???

I've spent lots of time with Doom, Quake and many others...really prefer the first shooter types...

But now that I have retired, I don't get recommendations on new games from students anymore...one emailed me recently to say the new version of Half-Life is strong...any comments?

The online game of choice is Halo 2. A first person shooter game.
