window stickers :
after searching it seems no one has a link that works since Feb 2014 anymore for reproduced window stickers.
any new info out there??

vin stickers:
after going through the dealer, district rep and customer care for the past 10 months I'm still no closer to getting this decal back on the door of my truck. there are companies out there (autodata, ecs, etc) that make copies for body shops rebuilding wrecked cars but you have to be able to take a picture of the current one to get a copy made.
chrysler says it will only make them for current model years if the dealer requests it due to a problem during delivery of vehicle from factory to them

while i was at the dealership they brought up a screen that showed everything about my truck from the day it was built including the dealership sold at, day sold, miles, services done, warranty issues, etc. I asked for that print out and they said "we can't do that, its illegal" any ideas??

was reading a few threads on here involving stolen vehicles and re-bodied vehicles and wondering if someone destroyed the center dash bezel how in the world are we supposed to prove what the vehicle really is?? one thread stated that the Night Runners would have this problem also, i assume it would apply to CE, VCA, and Yellow Fevers also. Unless you have the original window sticker is there a way to prove what you have?? what happens in 20 years when less information is available??

It's even worse than you think...

I have first hand knowledge that the VCA while at Daytona.....

Owners were swapping center bezels so they could have the number they wanted

This is why mine is bubble wrapped in a box in a closet. No way someone stealing my radio or breaking into my truck is damaging that. I thought of getting one made to look like the original one to put on the double DIN bezel I have. The only person I could find to do it wanted me to mail it to them. Nope, not gonna do it.

Probably

I had a long conversation with the guy who helped move them around

I have asked a lot of Dodge people over the years if there was a document that listed VIN's and Special editions for both the Viper and Viper Trucks, to this date none of them knew of such a document. The only exception was a list of Vins and # of's for the Yellow Fevers that were used in marketing

Keep trying there is someone out there that knows..... You just need to find them

The "VIN Sticker" in the door frame is called the Cert Label. Federal law requires it to be there on a new vehicle. You can't just go and buy one. There is a whole process to follow to get one for a new vehicle that has not been sold yet. Every once in a while one comes off the line with the wrong Cert Label and/or Monroni or Window sticker. I have had Ford products come off the rail with incorrect documentation. Ford would send correct docs. and we had to certify they were correctly put on the vehicle. Had a Ranger once with the wrong VIN plate on the dash. The local police had to come and witness the windshield removal and new VIN plate going on. They had to sign off on it.

list of #'s for Yellow Fevers…………….. oh please oh please………..:party:

Looking at the VTR, if I go off of the truck that is 3 of 50, mine looks to be not swapped. :dontknow: Probably because of the low number. I know I wouldn't have given it up.

Just what you want to so with a new limited edition numbered vehicle. (sarcastic) That should up the value. I would have been happy with the one I got.

The VCA's all went to Viper Owners, and saw the acquisition of a truck much differently

i did manage to dredge up some info after searching and searching and talking to the PO

3D7HA16HX5G740196

FRAME BUILT: Sep 13, 2004, 13:31:51 hrs
the frame sticker shows that it was meant for an SRT10 from the beginning although there is nothing concerning the VIN on the frame sticker. I thought they were just plain 1500 frames?? maybe it has different holes in frame for something??

TRUCK BUILT: Sep 28, 2004, 19:48 this sticker was over the top of the frame sticker and does have the last 6 of the VIN on it

truck was finally sold by dealer #93002, Orion Township, MI. Haven't dug any deeper on this part yet.

original owner: Douglas S. McKenney, haven't looked him up yet

sold date: June 29, 2005, zero miles, serviced Oct 7, 2005, 8639 miles

Really wondering about the time spent at the dealer from say, Oct 2004 to June 2005. Did they just have the price way too high or did they keep it on display only?? Doesn't make much sense to keep inventory and not sell it for so long.
I figure that it wasn't part of the group Jeff said did a marketing plan, i would think that it would have miles on it from driving in and out of the transport/display buildings and my info shows it had zero miles when it was sold. So i'm guessing they didn't even let anybody take a test drive, probably not even the original owner??

the door vin sticker i was originally searching for is made of un-obtainium. Chrysler will only make them for new vehicles that aren't sold yet but somehow lost their sticker during transport to the dealership. the places on line that makes new stickers for body shops can only make a sticker from a pic of an original sticker.

so if you have a sticker and are keeping your truck take a pic now and store it somewhere just in case

I don't know if Jeff saved all those pics of the door stickers that people sent him for the Registry or not. will have to pm him if i remember later

Yes I have them

why don't you just make one. Most trophy shops can put print on a vinyl label
