I was driving yesterday and came across a Viper SRT-10. We where doing about 60 and the exhaust sound from it was like a Indy car. He pulled over and we talked and said his exhaust was stock and was going to a Corsa. Has anyone ever tried to get our trucks to sound like a Viper car? Is it possible? I have read here most want it to sound like a Deep V-8 but I like the exotic Viper car sound. I gave him my number and he said he would give me his stock exhaust for my truck. You think it could be grafted in?

It sounded like this:

If the exotic note is what you're after . . One word: Corsa.

PM Stinker, he's running a special on Corsa mufflers. :)

I think why the sound is different is because they use individual mufflers and resonators for each bank.

he might have had oem exhaust , but probably no cats, Roz's sounds the same way

(FAT) Jack is the one who is running stock exhaust w/no cats. ;)

As Litemup said, the exhaust configuration of the car is different than out truck. You could probably incorporate the components from the car to our truck.

My take on it is, if you're going to go through that trouble, you may as well "step up" and get some good quality aftermarket exhaust/mufflers.

Do you have the stock resonator? Any Pics or links to pics?

I was going to x-pipe mine and run bassani race mufflers through the resonator.

I have not seen anyone do that.

In the videos above (and the on in this post) the only thing that was altered is the stock muffler. I removed it and simply replaced it with two dynomax bullets.

My current setup (link to video in my sig) is catless mids, dynomax bullets, and h-pipe and stock resonator.

Jimi,

You know I love you, bro....

But that was a very foolish stunt to do on a small residential street with very little visibility....

What if someone's pet got loose and their 8 yr old kid went chasing across the street after it?

Shit happens.... It's an evil that robs you of true inner peace for the rest of your life.... Not to mention what it does to the young couple who's kids or animals are dead or permanently crippled..... All so you can play with your hot-rod without the conscience or common sense to do it in a safe place.....

Like I said, bro..... I love you.... But that shit is fked up.....

Tim

Right, thats why i was thinking he would posted one of those look what i have the ballz to do threads. Im wanting to do the same to mine so i can get some of the heat away from my trans and o/d unit. I just would like to know if he came under the frame or went through it. I am consedering using 4"id pipe through the frame welded to run the exaust through.
