It looks like the Viper Club of America is going to raffle the last production Ram SRT-10. the link will give you the details. It is open to everyone.

SRT-10 Ram Raffle

The raffle closes on Wednesday, Feburary 7th. Odds are still VERY, very good. Call 800-998-1110 if you want to buy some tickets.

Thanks!

Chris
VCA Treasurer

Have enough tickets been sold to give away the truck, or is it going to be a 50/50 split?
How many total tickets have been sold? And where is the winning number going tobe posted?

Does anyone else find it incredibly ironic that a club which doesn't allow Viper Truck owners to be members is raffling off a Viper Truck?

I agree, It's just a way for them to make a few bucks.

A few quick notes:

1. Many of the regional clubs (the ones that actually have activities) gladly welcome SRT-10 Trucks. Mine included (Kansas City VCA).

2. Ticket sales are going to be close to the 1100 needed to give away the truck. In other words, very good odds indeed.

3. The National Viper Club has no real income other than raffles. The membership dues cover the cost of VIPER magazine, membership badges, event insurance, and regional dues. Nonetheless, the VCA is actively involved with numerous charities around the globe such as Big Brothers Big Sisters, Make A Wish, and many others. This includes hundreds of thousands of dollars of fundraising each year. We are having our annual Viper vs. Viper event at Luke Air Force Base in March and directly giving cash to the MWR Fund at the base, (Morale, Welfare, & Recreation Fund). This includes several programs for the spouse and children of deployed troops.

It's an awesome truck (of course!) and is a good cause overall. Only two days left to by tickets!

 it sound good to me, i dont mind to raffle one for myself do u have any raffle for RC?

And here you go:

The deadline is just a couple days away so you better start telling your friends about this one. With the documentation and pedigree this one has it could be the hottest thing to go through the doors of SRT. It could easily end up as one of the most collectible Mopars on the planet! Heck, if you were watching Barrett-Jackson then you know this one would probably bring PREMIUM bucks going across that stage.

Here's why:

It is the VERY last Dodge SRT10 Ram Truck made. Period. They ended production in 2006 and this was the last down the line. It gets better: It is also the Night Runner Edition (dark wheels, blacked out bumpers, headlight surrounds, etc.) of which they had originally planned 400 but rumor is less than half that were ever built. Each came with a plaque on the inside showing the serial number of the 400 to be made. In keeping with the theme, this one is number 400 of 400 (400/400)!

Still want more? No problem! This is the QUAD CAB version with four doors and full back seat for passengers. It comes with an automatic, so no worries about learning to drive a stick either.

Still more? Okay, the best part: Hidden throughout this vehicle are the signatures of the plant employees as this last truck went down the line. Not on the outside paint or interior, but darn near everywhere else such as the frame, engine compartment, tonneau cover, etc. And to finish it off, it was then shipped to the Featherstone Road Engineering Center where all of the engineers, designers, and marketing folks involved could sign it as well.

It has more signatures than any production vehicle from any manufacturer as far as we know. Even more than the line signatures of special Viper models in the past. It is easily one of THE most collectible trucks, if not overall vehicles, in the world. The very best of the very last!! And remember, this is the ONLY VCA raffle that has ever been open to the general public. The only problem is they don't know about it unless you tell them (please do). Think of all those family members that would love to tool around in this beauty - assuming they didn't store it away for a not-so-rainy day ($$$$$$). There are currently plenty of tickets left and your odds superb. This is definitely one you won't want to miss!

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!

Oh yeah, and just to prove it to you here is a large Rendezvous we did at the Kansas Speedway in 2005. Lots of Vipers showed up, but only two trucks:

It was open to all VCA members, both regular (Viper) and affiliate (non-Viper) members. Had a couple Ferrari's and a Lotus also show up, but we asked them not to be in the group photo...

Wow, about 1100 tickets, those are good odds. My issue is I could not keep it. No desire for a QC, even if it would be a collector. So I would be selling it ASAP.

Lets see... 50K, my local taxes would be 3250, then tax on the "income" would be about 15K, sell for 45K, that is about 27K ahead :) That would come close to buying the lot for my new house!!

What do you all think? Is 45K possible out of the truck today???

Thanks for the info, Bill!

Gladly welcome Viper Truck owners as official VCA members, or as affiliate/associate members?

It's not like VCA membership gets me laid or a big house on a beach. It's just the principle of it all. To me, Viper means Viper.
I mean, would the VCA deny the owner of the Tomahawk membership?

From a purely finanical standpoint it would make sense to include the trucks as part of the VCA.

I to have felt resistance from VCA with my Ram. I asked to have a Ram section on the VCA site and was DENIED!! Not to mention a number of members on the VCA site seem to think the SRT-10 Ram has zero to do with the Viper and god forbid if Viper and Ram are in the same sentance. With that said I know that is not the view of the VCA but the members on the site, of which not all (including me) do not even belong to the VCA. And please note, it is not everyone, but a handful of people who seem to be this way. However.... if the VCA were to make an effort, like a SRT Ram section, maybe it would change the view point of some of the closed minded, ummm, people :D Look at the response you got on the VCA site when you announced a Ram was being given away, and worse, to non-members!! Members were pissing and moaning. I made a few comments but got no where.....

To be honest there are two reasons I have not joined the VCA.

1. The Ohio group generally meets and is focused in the Columbus area, I am right on the OH/MI line, too far. Although I have considered the MI group who primarily meet in the Detroit area.
2. The fact some members are, well, my car rocks and everything else sucks (unless it is a Viper)! I hate that! Which is probably why you see two SRT-10 Rams at that get together and not more. I would even bet those two Ram owners also have Vipers which is why the fit in a little bit.

OK, rant over.
