whats the ups and downs of the viper key mod

I thought about doing this but just haven't done it yet. I am holding out that someone will create a RFID solution for us so that we don't have to use the key.

how to you do the viper key mod?? i've got a key for an 04 viper, but it only works the doors... it starts the truck for 2 seconds too, but thats kinda usless

I think you have to pull the little chip out of your factory key and superglue it to the steering column. I am sure somebody will come up with specifics.
