Viper Master / Slave Upgrade Part Numbers & Questions

I spoke to my local dealership and got some info for guys that may be interested in doing the metal slave upgrade (like me).

Slave
04-06 OEM slave (plastic) is part # 5037518 AA - Cost $128 from Dodge
04-06 Viper slave upgrade (metal) is part # 5037357 AB - Cost $ 177 from Dodge

To those that have already done this upgrade, aside from the the actual slave, is there more than needs to be replaced? JMB Justins package includes the master and slave. Is this required? :dontknow: The Viper master cylinder includes a hydraulic accuator and tubing but the OEM for our trucks does not have an accuator.

Viper Master kit part # 4642666AD w/ hydraulic accuator $175 from Dodge
OEM Master kit part # 5037431 AA no hydraulic accuator $113 from Dodge

Can someone provide more info about this? I do not know :dontknow: exactly what needs to be changed.. All I see is this spoken about and in some signatures here . I know it is important since I am doing the clutch upgrade. I just would like a little more detail about it before I do it.

I have not done it, YET! But I believe you also need a spacer plate to make one of them fit, which one I don't know.

The factory master cylinder will not hook into the viper slave, so both must be replaced. The spacer is required on the master cylinder to fix the pedal height problem that arises from using the car master cylinder on the truck. In my kit I also include a bracket to mount the master cylinder resevoir and the associated hardware. The cost of the slave cylinder came down recently, so I will be updating my price on the website soon, figure a savings of $70 for the whole package with clutch. If your interested in ordering, just send me a PM before you order and I'll adjust the price accordingly.

Okay... I got those numbers on the phone but they did say D as in David not B. Can you just verify that again please.
And 5037357AB as well. Maybe that is just for the actual slave itself.

AA seems to be for our rigs and AB for the viper I guess. Not gonna even try to figure it out really.

But you need both plus the shim for the upgrade. The shim does not come with either of those part numbers right? Is there a mopar part # for that?

the shim is extra and is not a mopar part. i think jbm justin makes them as well as sells the full kit. i also sell the viper master and slave but dont have access to the shim.

Yeah, Justin seems to have the right idea with this thing. He has given me alot of info despite not ordering from him yet. You guys are good vendors... Whats your link?
