the parts number for the viper slave and master conversion.

the master is 4542666ab the master will need to be shimmed out about 1/4 an inch.

the slave is 5037357aa

the differences on the ram srt compared to the viper is the viper slave is metal and the masters cylinder has a bigger bore, the shaft on the viper master is metal compared to the srt ram witch is plastic.

there was also a rumor that someone was using a diesel master, im not to sure how the ram diesel unit will work it is all wrong so please if you have heard this maybe some clarification on that would be great.

only if you are in excellent standings with your dealer, but most of the time no, they have to replace it with what came off

If original parts failed could these be used in place under warranty???

Nope..My cousin's a viper teck at the dealership down the street and cant even do it. When there's a warranty claim, he has to order the same part number through the parts counter, would be too hard to pull it off, especially if the old parts are requested to be sent back (which they do from time to time)...

well imma gonna find out..After all I just put in whatever the parts counter guy looks up...The warranty booker doesnt necessarily keep track of what pn#s were used to a point, and if the old parts are sent back there gonna get what their looking for....I'll have to seee

the parts that are run for your truck are vin specific and will get kicked way before the part is to be sent back to DCX.

i guess its easier to get away with stuff like this workin at bmw since there alot of parts that get superseeded(i think thats how spell it) and ofcourse the pn#s change so it would be kind of hard monitor if the right parts were installed vin specific. I know that the parts are looked up vin specific but they are charged out just by entering the pn#s onto the ticket, I understand that the claim might be dumped if they fiqured out that a more expensive part were installed...but i'll see

Hey Dragon, the part #4542666ab is not a good #. Could you check this out?
