Viper TA "Time Attack" beats ZR1 and set new record

Sadly the lame rich people will still go out and buy Ferrari's and Lambo's even though there's a fast snake right in the back yard that's American made!

Rich people rarely drive fast, its more of an ego thing. Thats why are the high end cars (lambo, Ferrari, GTR) can get away with paddle shifters. The hardcore racers still want to slam gears!

Thats more like it. Cant see the video at work. I assumed it was Zl1 when it was mentioned that he called out the vette. I guess the are referring to the new stingray. Im glad that they have made the viper a more driver friendly car. Ill never forget the Top Gear video of Jeremy Clarkson driving the viper around a track. He referred to it wanting to kill the driver at every turn.

No dude they are calling out the Corvette ZR1. New Stingray isn't in the category of the ZR1, the TA Viper, or even the Z06. On this particular track, the Vette ZR1 set a world record for time on that track. The new TA Viper beat that world record using the exact same tires the Vette used, then put on race slicks and beat the time again with an even better time.

Correction: SRT dialed in the shocks but left the Pirelli's on and beat the Vette's time.

A buddy of mine recently spent a day and a ton of cash at this place: Las Vegas Drive up to 13 Exotic Cars driving some pretty awesome cars. He also spent a lot of time with the pro drivers. A popular topic of conversation was, which out of all the cars was their favorite to drive? Every single driver there said the Ferrari 458 was the most fun to drive, even though it was one of the lower horsepower cars. The general feeling was that it is just a lot easier to drive fast.

Well yeah of course it's easier to drive. Just ask Car and Driver. They are terrified of any generation Viper.

Maybe there was a typo but the ZR1 is what the Viper beat, not the Camaro ZL1. They called out the Corvette at the end because that's what the TA Viper beat. SRT wouldn't waste their time with a ZL1 and a ZL1 wouldn't set any records stock anyways since it's a fat pig.

Exactly they called out the ZR1. That camaro is slow as fuck lol
