Viper Truck Registry

Started adding ACR (Competition Group) details to the Registry. This will take some time.
Viper Truck Registry-1999 Viper
I decided not to use the "ACR" because in the early years, of the ACR, it wasn't really clear in the data that I have

The Viper Registry: Viper Registry and the Viper Truck Registry: Viper Truck Registry are coming along great. Slowly getting things added and I may be way behind schedule, however, I'm making pretty decent progress.

Thanks to Andy, build dates are coming along well, going to be a hell of a list folks
Jeff

ViperJeff
Can you please add me to the registry.
Thanks:D

Also, as a note to those that are considering Dash Plaques. I will be moving in the next few months and I will no longer be able to just pick up the plaques from my engraver. he will need to ship them to me. He has told me that they send everything out the same way and that cost to me is 6.99. Which means, for single dash plaque orders, the price will go up that much. That leaves me looking at a price of 25+ bucks which is just to high. So about the only way these might continue is by bulk orders or not at all. I will keep you updated.

Also, as I'm no longer part of the staff, I may not be able to sell these openly here

caveman, please advise

Might make what I need to do a hell of a lot easier

You provide a service that we are all grateful for. Please continue doing what you are doing.

Thank you sir,

I just need to do something about the cost side of this. I'm thinking the only way to do this is group buys (bulk order), I can get them cheaper and even with the shipping, the cost will go down. I just can't see making someone wait 6 months while I wait for enough to have an order processed.

After sleeping on it, not sure if the plaques will survive the move
jeff

Finally getting around to sending this in...

Thanks,
David

Have a Great Day

OK, here's the problem with the dash plaques. Currently (if still offered) they are $18.50. I would order them and go pick them up so there is no shipping cost. That shipping cost is $6.99. So a single order would be 25.49. I think everyone would agree that's a bit much for a dash plaque. So the only way to make this affordable would be a group buy (30 or more), which would also reduce the price of the plaque because I get a volume discount. With that discount the price would go to $14.50. Hell, I 'm not sure we could put a list of 30 together in a short time frame. So wait times could be so long that when we think we have the count, half will have dropped off because they no longer want or need one. Not sure what to do or to do anything at all.

Jeff they are every bit worth the price. If someone were to go about it on their own they'd spend more. I'd try a group buy of 20 and see where that goes but otherwise your price is fair and quality is there :)

Thanks Scott. Nothing will happen til after the move. Hoping to close around the 1st of May.
And in all honesty, you can get one done yourself for less than 25 bucks or even 18 bucks for that matter. You would just have to do all the leg work and put it in a format the sign shop can work with. The first ones that Jim helped me with I think were only 7 bucks each, however they were vinyl. Wanted something that looked more in place. Steve did some really cool ones that were multilayered plastic, think they were 10. BigDodgeInAlaska did them for about 25 bucks from what I remember for the small plaque and the under hood one (much bigger) I can't remember.

Value, well, back then we paid 50-60k for our trucks and so 25 bucks was nothing. Now with the truck being 18k, a 25 dollar plaque is two cases of keystone and well, the keystone is a better value

Nah, some of us don't drink and if we did it damn sure wouldn't be Keystone, lmfao. For a metal plaque that's engraved it's worth it today as well. Kinda needs more marketing I think. Kinda like me needing a website, lol.

I used to market it, got to many irritating comments from the peanut gallery. Not like I was making a living on them, so it wasn't worth the trouble.

Web sites, I did that once for a vendor.... lost my shirt

The best thing to do is go to godaddy.com, get a domain, use the online tools and wa-la. No special training or talents needed (for most people). I've had to babysit a few and talk them through things, but hey, it was just time. Uploading pictures is pretty easy and you just have to remember to size them correctly for fast loading.

Most importantly, you have to decide if that web site is worth the trouble and will it bring you additional business. How much time you will spend in it vs getting to do other things you want to do.

Personally, I would forgo the website and use the VTCoA Gallery. You can add pictures with descriptions. make your gallery a public gallery. Add prices if you want and update the price when required.... Create a link in your signature and maybe create a new thread in your forum, make it a sticky so it's always at the top.

Cost..... $0.00
Effort.... Minimal

Truth and appreciate the info. Shared the plaque info on FB to see interest.

I will happily pay the $25.50 to get one. Nothing like making it just that more unique, and "certified" compared to the wanna-be trucks here. No lie, four Hemi SRT-10 look a likes in my area. I am one of 3 true SRT-10s in my area. Easy to spot if you know the SRT-10s exterior.
