VIR (Virginia International Raceway) has an annual charity event for the Salvation Army where they invite the public to drive the full course with their personal auto of choice.

It was cold (30 degrees) with a 10mph breeze just to keep your hands in your pockets. Their were several car clubs there: Miata, Mustang and RX-8's.
Each session was paced by a CTS-V with a S/C Mini picking up the rear. You could still hit 100mph in the staights but things got bunched up in the twisties. Overall was fun event and plan to go next year, although if you plan to go, go early. As the day wore on, the wait was about 2 hours.

While I was there, I met two other Ram-SRT 10 owners :D Both were virgins to VTCOA, so had to turn them on to the web site and expect them to post up in the near future ;) Both guys were from VA, a Silver 04 and Red 05.

Didnt take too many pics as your fingers were numb after about 5 mins, so the camera stayed in the bag most of the day.

I found out that my Brother-in-law was there also yesterday. He ususally races SCCA IT-7 Mazda RX7 but I don't know what he was driving yesterday. Probably it or a Miata. Nobody tells me nothing. My mother had to tie a pork chop around my neck to get the dog to play with me. Story of my life.

Thats my red SRT10. I met mmmmtorque at the event. I ordered the event cd and will have my own pics to throw up here when it arrives. Thanks for turning us onto this forum.

Sorry I missed out on that, I would have loved to take mine out and whip it around the track. I did an auto cross with it some time ago, everyone there was amazed at how fast it was. never really had to worry about that 2nd to 3rd shift as the track wasn't big enough to need 3rd, it was freezing cold so I couldn't get traction either but I did manage to stay with in 3.5 seconds of the 1st place car which was a Lotus.
I was on a Motorcycle ride on Sat the 9th, V-Rod forum, we were rasing money for the forum's found who's wife is battling cancer so the freezing temps on the bike was justifed.
Great looking pics......here's to next years:burnout:
