The volant at least makes the hood scoop functional for about half the price of the mopar (and half the space). The volant definitely gives a slightly larger tone to the truck on hard acceleration.

The volant does take some finesse to make it look right and fit right.

autopartswarehouse.com had the cheapest price when I bought a month or two ago.

NO, I wanted to see what I would pick up with just the CAI, I installed and did a couple of pulls. Yes I do have a SCT tune, Marty did it.

I need to say that several shops have done testing of most of the CAI systems and tried to validate their hp claims, but none have been able to document them...in fact the tests seems to indicate that there is no increase over the stock system and in some cases a loss.

If Marty documents the claimed hp increase on your truck, even that would be suspect these days. I would also caution that if you have his SCT tune I would be worried, very worried...and as you await the diagnosis from Arrow, you might try to find Marty's phone number...he seems to be conspicuous in his absence these days. Maybe Clint has moved in with him.

I think that what Dom is saying is that bling and sound can be improved with CAI but many have tried to show hp increases but none have really done it, other than Marty...uhhhh....well you take it from there.

I have one of these....it was my first mod.

If I could have waited until Justin found this website I would have gone with his right off the bat! Mine is 2 years old...is chaffing where it enters the box and the rubber ring doesnt stay on very well. It does look cool...but thats about it. However, you can hear that sucker suck some air fo sho!

The only problem I have is...I have the CAI, the 170* thermostat, and a DC tune via programmer and my truck just doesnt feel fast. I can't tell if its just me mentally or if there is something wrong with my truck....


But I do lover her with all of my heart....shhhhhhhhh.....dont tell the wife!
