vortec super charger?

i have 2 things! first is i might be looking for a srt4 neon in the near future! (6 mos.)and the other is, my parents neighbor came over on sunday and asked if i new anyone interested in a "vortec" super charger! i do not know anything about them! and he does not have a puter so here is what he told me. it is for a 318/360 somthing like a 94-01, dakota or ram. he is a car guy! (chevy)and has had it for a while, but does not have a dodge to put it on. i do have a 98 4x4 but i dont have the money to but it right now! he wants 1500.00 for and says it does not have many miles on it! like i said he does not have a computer and i dont have the money to buy it! and i dont even know if this is a good deal! what do you guys think? i would love to put it on my old truck but its bad timing! are they even worth a crap? any thoughts? i can go to the bank if any of you are interested, but he wants 1500.00 so shipping, what ever that would be, i am not marking this up at all! just thought i would offer it here! it would be a pain to do, but you all are family!! It is a "centrifugal" supercharger, like the Paxton..... Very similar in design, really.

are they any good? and does 1500 sound like a good price? he said the guy he bought it from, said he had it on for a month, he got a ticket and he put his dakota in the ditch and his wife said it had to go! so he bought it! he said the belt looks like it has 100 miles on it? but it must be old i think he said hes had it for a few years:dontknow:

this would be a tough one! im willing to help at no cost but the guy doesnt have a puter let alone paypal, i take it by your response its a decent deal:dontknow: what all should come with this to make it work? i can make it home next weekend and take some pics, i havent seen it yet, but the guy has built some cool stuff over the years!! his daily driver is an old chevy stepside lowered with a 455 and its flat black, he calls it his go cart! (gearing)
